These Berry Bars are made using in season blueberries and raspberries. Frozen berries would work perfectly in this recipe too. I use these Berry Bars as little treats in school lunchboxes, but served warm with custard, they are a great dessert idea too.

Recipes for old fashioned Bread Puddings are not new. This simple dessert is top level comfort food steeped in a centuries old tradition. This recipe for Cinnamon Bread Pudding is my South African version. The hot pudding contains no raisins and soaking the bread overnight in the egg custard results in a soft and delicate texture. Requires only warm custard to serve.
