Lemon Meringue Pie is my all-time favorite tea time treat. I think this recipe finally beats all: a crisp pastry, smooth tangy lemon curd and a beautiful soft Italian Meringue top. A good Lemon Meringue Pie takes effort, but it is completely worth it!

These Berry Bars are made using in season blueberries and raspberries. Frozen berries would work perfectly in this recipe too. I use these Berry Bars as little treats in school lunchboxes, but served warm with custard, they are a great dessert idea too.

This Strawberry Friand Recipe uses ground almonds and egg whites and is finished with thinly sliced in season strawberries. A great idea to use up extra egg whites!

Recipes for old fashioned Bread Puddings are not new. This simple dessert is top level comfort food steeped in a centuries old tradition. This recipe for Cinnamon Bread Pudding is my South African version. The hot pudding contains no raisins and soaking the bread overnight in the egg custard results in a soft and delicate texture. Requires only warm custard to serve.
